Transport

Everyday we transport ourselves around the city of Bristol, and as students we find ourselves most commonly travelling by foot, by bicycle, and bus. These three photographic stories are a snapshot of daily journeys taken by three students, and of course being human we admire and consider our surroundings as we explore and wander the city. We reflect on our daily journeys around the city as we travel through it, some are beautiful, some have become monotonous, and some we no longer notice.
The lines of photographs document our different views as we travel, and the message beneath is our thoughts as we move through the city.

Blue Obsession

We were given the berief to explore a new experience, do something we have never done before, and I chose to attempt to become obsessed with something, and I chose the colour blue.

Hand cut Letterform

This C is part of the four letter word 'tick' I illustrated and hand cut this letterform using a scapel and lots of time.

Every Object Tells a Story

We had to choose a personal object, and then attempt to create a narrative about the object. My object was my grandfathers light meter, I chose to describe the effect the light meter has on the photograph. I suspended the photograpgs within a frame to attempt to recreate the aesthetic of a 35mm negative.

In addition we had to create a short moving image piece to reflect the narrative, this video descibes the link over time between changes made with the light meter will result in different effects in the final photograph.

Relay

A project where myself and another designer created a piece of design and then swapped the pieces with each other, and responded to the others design. This is the final outcome of the project, there was 11 responses each, totalling in 22 pieces of design between us.
